A company in constant and strong growth, Bioalmond deals with the transformation of the raw material into various products, such as peeled almonds, almond flour and ground almonds.
To guarantee a certified and high-quality product, the company regularly invests in new machinery for processing almonds. Of particular note is the modern peeling plant, with a production capacity of 8 to 10 tons of almonds per day. Equally modern is the optical sorter that allows foreign bodies to be identified even more quickly, as well as the percentage of rot and stains inside the almonds.
The selection and final control of the peeled Sicilian almonds in Catania are therefore carried out by hand. Finally, the almonds are calibrated and packaged in 25 kg bags or 850 kg bags.
